Things I learned about Darwin...

While travelling in the US.

1. There is no such thing as traffic in Darwin. It takes less than 10 minutes to get anywhere in this town.

2. We pay twice as much for poorer quality food. The vegetables are on there way out by the time they get to the supermarket. That is if they have any vegetables in stock.

3. It isn't "normal" to store all your pantry foods in large plastic containers so ants can't get to it. One bit me while we fought over the last granola bar. Luckily the house gecko intervened. On a side note don't try and feed a gecko cockroaches, you'll traumatize it.

4. No where else in the world do you get a chance to say "We got our first toilet frog the other day." It's true, we did. We put it outside before the cats saw it. We have no idea how it came in, but gave it a spare key for anytime it wanted to come back and eat the cockroaches.

5. And finally, one really shouldn't sweat that much when just vacuuming.
